Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele, has expressed optimism that her new movie, “Everybody Loves Jenifa,” will break box office records and rake in N5 billion. Akindele made this projection in a viral video featuring some of the movie’s cast members.
The actress’s prediction comes on the heels of the movie’s premiere, which was attended by various celebrities, including her estranged friend, Eniola Badmus. If “Everybody Loves Jenifa” achieves the projected figure, it will surpass the record set by Akindele’s previous film, “A Tribe Called Judah,” which became the first Nigerian movie to gross over N1 billion.
